Monthly Favourites – October 2017

1st December 2017

Oh October, how I have failed. I can’t believe I’m getting my October favourites up on December 1st. So much for making a concerted effort to post more! Has November flown by for anyone else or just me?? Anywhoo, here is my monthly favourites blog post for October 2017. A run down of my top five absolute must haves, fab new finds and all round go to products new and old. This month seems to be a beauty month!

First has been an absolute god send for me these colder months, Superdrug own brand Vitamin E Nourishing Night Cream. Not only is this the thickest night cream I have ever used but it is an absolute steal at just £2.99*. The smallest amount goes a long way and although I have had this for a few months I found it to be slightly too heavy for the warm summer months but right now it’s perfect for my skin. Right now Superdrug have a buy 1 get 1 half price offer available at Superdrug online and in stores.

I also love pairing this with the Vitamin E eye cream too! The two products really work well together.

Beauty item number 2 is one of my favourite budget liquid highlighters. Makeup Revolutions liquid highlighter in Liquid Champagne. These glowing liquid drops can be used as highlight on the cheek bones or can be added to foundation for an all over subtle glow. For the upcoming festive season they can even be used on shoulders and collar bone for a little bit of Christmas sparkle without the glitter. There is no way to truly capture how pretty these highlighters are in a photo. Check out all the shades available at Superdrug online and TAM Beauty for just £6.00* each.

My October favourite hair product is this Argan Oil Rescue Mask from 7th Heaven. These hair masks can be found in pretty much any supermarket and I will admit most often than not I will walk right by them. I saw this mask in Sainsburys recently for just £1* so I thought I would give it a go. This mask comes in a single use sachet, although if you have shorter, fine hair or just fancy giving the ends a nourish I don’t see why you couldn’t get multiple treatments from one sachet.

This Argan Oil mask is super thick, smells wonderful and left my hair silky soft after just 5 minutes. So much so that I went and bought a second to use just on my drier ends over the winter. For juts £1 I am really pleased with the results!

Next up is the Vanilla Pumpkin hand cream from the Body Shop. I’m going to be honest, I wasn’t taken by the other products in the range but the hand cream was just perfect. I love the body shop products in winter and this little gem will see me right through. Unfortunately this was an autumn product and it no longer available online however there may still be some on the shelves in stores. Have a look at the winter hand cream range at the Body Shop online though…. there are some good looking scents there already.

Last is one of my favourite home fragrance sprays, Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut by Bath and Body Works. Sadly Bath and Body Works do some of the best scented products ever. Their candles are the best as well as the body products. I always stock up on this brand whenever I go to the USA, mainly room sprays, candles, anti-bac hand gels and the car fragrances. Sadly they don’t ship to the UK but you can get the products on eBay and sellers on Facebook but the prices do tend to be a little higher. This little room spray is a year old and I love it!

Et Voila! A brief rundown of my top 5 recommended products I have been loving in October. If you missed my September monthly favourites post check it out here.
