Autumn Home Decor 2017

Fall Decor 2017

I am so frickin’ excited that Autumn in finally here! Don’t get me wrong I loves me some sunshine however I am an Autumn girl. I love crunchy leaves, cosy jumpers, massive scarves, pumpkin candles and cuddling up under a blanket in front of a good film. My mission for the perfectly decked out house is not complete however since Hubby and I moved into our ‘adult house’ last February I’m starting to build up quite a cute collection of Autumn decor.

First is this cute Pumpkin Large Candle Holder from Yankee Candle. I actually have 2 of these and bought them in an end of season sale online and kept them for this year. Technically slightly on the Halloweenie scale but so cute.

These Pumpkin Tea Light Holders were bought from Homesense last year in a pack of three. The Spider Web Plate was also from Homesense last year and was a gift from a friend. I love sitting candles on it. These guys, again more Halloweenie than Autumn but I love their little faces. I ended up sitting them on miniature log slices on a side board in our lounge with some copper wire fairy lights.

Next up along side my other Yankee Candle Holder are these 2 Mickey Mouse Jack-O-Lantern mugs brought in Disney World Florida in 2014 so they won’t be available to purchase over here in the UK. (Psssssst…there are a couple of sets of these on Ebay right now) Aren’t they the most adorable things ever?

These marble and copper leaf coasters are a recent purchase from TK Maxx and I thought £6.99 for a pack of 4 was an absolute bargain! I like these so much I’m thinking of keeping them out all year instead of just for Autumn. Definitely worth a look of you have a TK Maxx or Homesense nearby.

Another simple Autumnal home decor idea is to gather some beautiful coloured leaves, acorns, conkers and pine cones to fill glass vases with and add some fairy lights. Simple, cheap and effective.

This is how I have decorated my fireplace for Autumn. The 2 ceramic owls I believe were bought from a local garden centre in an and of season sale a few years back and I love them. Maybe I need to find some other cute owl decor bits to go with them.

I also like to purchase some miniature pumpkins to dot about the house, these Munchkin Pumpkins are from Sainsburys and are 90p each. I’m on the hunt for some white ones too but I haven’t found any as yet. If you have spotted some let me know!

In case you hadn’t spotted already, those are actually teeny pumpkin copper wire string lights. I bought these in Laura Ashley last year and I did want to get some more but I don’t think they have continued them this year. (Sad pout)

Last but not least candles. Candles really make Autumn for me. I love rich spicy bakery scents as well as deep woodsy and fruity berry scents this time of year. Usually I head for the ever sought after Bath & Body Works candles. I was lucky enough to be in America this time last year so I stocked up and I am clinging onto my last Pumpkin French Toast candle for dear life. However this year I have decided to opt for some from TK Maxx and I have discovered a new brand called D.W Home which are also made in America. They smell incredible and are very reasonably priced if you can get your hands on some. My favourite has to be Caramel Pumpkin.

Last but not least are this cute pair of white and gold Acorns from TK Maxx, I have also spotted them at Homesense too. They are quite large and only cost £4.99 each. They sit perfectly either side of my fire place.

Obviously as some of the pieces here were bought a while back so I can’t post any links to purchase them now but sites like Ebay often have some little gems hidden away. Don’t forget to check out some end of season sales for some Autumn house decor bargains for next year.
