Eyeshadow 6 Shade Palettes by MUA Makeup Academy
MUA Makeup Academy is a well known affordable high street make-up brand here in the UK and over the past year MUA products are sure increasing in my makeup collection. Today I bring you two of the 6 shade eyeshadow palettes that have become my favourite every day eyeshadow for 2017.
The first is called Coral Delight containing 6 beautiful shades that I am loving this summer. The lighter top two shades are lighter pale ivory shades with a slight shimmer. Both can easily be worn alone for a natural make up look. Alternatively add a tiny dab to the inner corner of the eye to make your eyes pop.
The two middle shades contain a beautiful peachy pink with a slight gold shimmer and a pretty pale champagne gold. Both work wonderfully together and especially look great with a tan.
The bottom two shades are a wonderful rich shimmery bronze tones that turn a summer look from day to evening when lightly blending them into the crease of the eyelid. These can also be used alone for a subtle golden smokey eye.
The second palette called Glamour Gold is a darker more sultry palette containing 6 shimmery gold and bronze shades. Each shade creates a beautiful bronzed eye look for any occasion.
The top two shades are a bright pale eyeshadows that are cooler than the first palette. One off white and an ivory/cream shade that, again, work beautifully in the inner corner of the eye.
The middle shades consist of a heavily metallic gold and a beautiful warm copper tone. I haven’t used these shades together as I find them to be slightly too contrasted against each other. However individually they work extremely well with the other eyeshadows in the palette. Word of warning the gold shade on the left is very … thick for an eyeshadow. (If that is a thing?) I have found that it needs to be used sparingly and build up the colour else you are left with a very thick cakey eyeshadow. As it is a metallic it can really accentuate any creases in the eyelid or fine lines around the eye.
The last two shades in the palette are a pair of gorgeous bronze tones that work incredibly together. The left shade is a pale bronze that works well as a full lid colour complimented nicely by the warmer, darker bronze in the crease. The right hand shade is crammed with pearlescent shimmer and gives a wonderful glow.
Both of these eyeshadow palettes have incredible pigment, blend beautifully and have amazing staying power. So much so that I am already eyeing up 2 more in the range to add to my collection. Each palette costs £3.50 and the full MUA collection is available in their store online and exclusively in Superdrug stores and Superdrug online. MUA does not test their products on animals.
