Hallelujah Hair Oil – Forest & Shore

6th September 2017

‘A complete blend of highly effective oils to hydrate, nourish and restore damaged hair. Hallelujah Oil is 100% natural – the perfect formula to lock in proteins and encourage hair growth’

A few months back I was contacted by the lovely Emily, founder of Forest & Shore, asking me if I would be willing to try a new line of 100% natural and organic skin and hair products. Of course I was absolutely honoured and graciously accepted her kind offer. The first product I have received to try is the Hallelujah Hair Oil aimed at dry and damaged hair. Now I am a hair product junkie, especially anything that will nourish my bleached ends and mid lengths of my hair. Serums, oils, masks… you name it I will try it. My hair is naturally dark brunette, lacks volume and is currently long in length with a bit of a grown out Ombre that I did myself. As with any bleach, it does damage the natural hair and will cause dryness and makes my already fine quite hair brittle so this product seemed right up my street.

First up can we take a moment to appreciate just how stunning this packaging is! The glass bottle and glass pipette also give a very high end and luxurious feel to the product. Simple pastel colour labelling with beautiful delicate hand illustrations of the plants of which the 6 organic oils have been derived from. Soil Association Certified Organic to be exact and the blend is made right here in England. So what exactly are these 6 oils and what can they do for your hair?

Organic Coconut Oil – Hydrating and nourishing and is easily absorbed into the hair. Coconut oil keeps the hair proteins locked in to encourage strong, healthy hair growth.

Organic Sesame Oil– A highly penetrating oil working from the inside out, protecting your hair from damaging heat and UV rays.

Organic Olive Oil– Rich in vitamin A, E and antioxidants protecting the keratin and sealing in moisture. An essential ingredient for those who suffer with frizzy, brittle hair… like me!

Organic Sunflower Oil– Contains omega 9, an important fatty acid to stop breakage and help hair growth. It also adds shine and leaves the hair feeling silky soft.

Organic Arnica Extract– Great rejuvenating properties for the scalp, which helps combat dandruff and itchiness. It stimulates and strengthens the hair follicles and prevents any early hair loss

Hallelujah Oil contains a blend of 6 naturally refined oils. Olive, Sesame, Coconut, Arnica, Rosemary and Lavender. It smells incredible and immediately after opening the bottle the room filled with a wonderful scent, predominantly Rosemary and Lavender. (I love the smell of fresh rosemary). The 6 oils work perfectly together giving your hair all it needs to grow long and strong. The coconut, sesame and olive blend penetrates deep into the hair shaft working to efficiently hydrate dry hair working from the inside out to heal any damaged, broken hair. Nourishing your hair with organic oils will restore the shine and promote silky hair. Coconut and sesame work together to lock in proteins to encourage hair growth. This oil also offers effective protection from harmful UV rays and heat, such as straighteners and hair dryers and as already mentioned it is 100% natural and organic. This product is also free from synthetic colours and fragrances, parabens, sulphates, silicone, mineral oil and EDTA (Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid – yeah that). Forest & Shore also do not test their products on animals.

This oil can be used 2 ways, on damp hair after washing, dispensing 2-5 drops into your hand and evenly applying to towel dried hair before drying. Or as an overnight hair treatment, using 2-3 full pipettes of the product massaged into the scalp/roots, lengths and ends and then washed out in the morning. I have tried both and I have to say I am in love with this product. 2 tips if you do use this as an overnight treatment, first I sleep with a turbie towel on with my hair loosely tied in a bun. Second is to do a double shampoo the morning after just to make sure you’re left with no oily patches. This may be because my hair is particularly thin but it seems to work for me. Once my hair was dry there was such an amazing shine to my hair and it feels so much stronger.

After only a week of using this product I am absolutely thrilled and I will definitely be repurchasing more. My hair looks amazing, is silky soft to the touch and I didn’t need to use my straighteners to tame the frizzies after blow drying, which my bleached ends thank you for Emily. There is also noticeably less breakage when brushing my hair when its dry. Usually after I use a serum on wet hair I always have to go over the finished style with my go to Moroccan Oil and with this it really isn’t needed. Just a few drops of this miracle product on wet hair and I am good to go.

Forest & Shore Hallelujah Hair Oil is available now on Amazon in 2 sizes. 50ml for £9.99 (free shipping) or 100ml for £12.00 (free next day shipping with Amazon Prime)*

Thank you so much Emily for not only creating this truly amazing Hallelujah Hair Oil but for reaching out and giving me the opportunity to try this out to review. This is now going to be my go to all-in-one hair product and at such a great price this 50ml bottle really is going to go a long way. I’m already adding this product to some Christmas gift lists. If you try one product for your hair I thoroughly recommend this one. After 1 week of use my hair has genuinely transformed and you will definitely see this product mentioned by me in the future.
